First learning how to Swing Dance with the Illini Swing Society in Urbana, Illinois, Canada Pennett has taken to dancing across the globe. On trips abroad, or attending exchanges, he has made a goal of making every dance different…even if it’s to the same song. As an instructor, he passes on how each dancer can have a good time – individually, as well as with their partner. Be sure to ask him to dance, have a chat, or even do both.

Naomi CarmeliShabtay has been dancing for almost three years now. Starting in Rockford, Illinois with Fusion, and then attending Blues Dance events in Chicago, she’s spent the most time in Milwaukee dancing East Coast and Lindy Hop. With additional experience in Charleston, Balboa, and Collegiate Shag. She is excited for the opportunity to be teaching at Swinging at the Sands.
